November 5th, 2022: Greetings from Austin! Hope everyone is having a fantastic week. #1 Taking A 12-Hour Walk Last Friday I woke up and packed a bag with extra socks, an umbrella, and an extra shirt. It looked like it was about to downpour but I decided to go anyway. I opened my door, opened the app, and hit “start walk.”
i love so much in here. amen to "move the body to move the mind"
also think you make a really important point: "people think improving your relationship to work is about finding the right job, side hustle, better pay, and things like that. I sense the real challenge is learning how to feel comfortable being lost"
for a lot of my career i focused so much on "what" i did (job, side hustle, biz, etc) while ignoring "how" i did it. your book was a big part of me shifting my focus from "what" to "how" and it has dramatically improved my relationship to work... plus it's just way more fun!
Inspiring stuff, Paul! 100% echo the sentiment that it's good to get lost sometimes. Can find hidden gems in cities you're exploring. Also learn that you can cope and wayfind yourself back to safety. Plus make some friends along the way.
